Unit Plan Introduction

Unit Plan Introduction

The unit will be comprised of a number of readings from the 20th century, as the literature will correspond with the student's American History class. The goals of this unit are to allow students to formulate their own interpretations of literature by way of different reading strategies and methods, as well as using what they have read to formulate an intelligent response in both a literature and historical standpoint. Reading works by a diversified pool of writers will allow the students to see the similarities and differences amongst the writers, as well as how each group had been affected historically and how this comes across in literature.
